On October 5, 2021, the City of Watertown held a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new Cunniff Elementary School project. The new 79,883sf three-story building will soon accommodate 385 elementary school students in grades K-5.
Ai3 is excited for the students, staff, and community of Watertown, MA to enjoy all the sustainable features that allowed this fully-electric school to achieve Net Zero Energy status, including photovoltaics on most of the roof, photovoltaic canopies over the parking lot, and a “green” and fully recyclable exterior building shell composed of a combination of metal and recycled wood/plastic components.
