Sr. Project Architect / Designer

Ai3 Architects LLC, a mid-size, award-winning design firm specializing in educational facilities is seeking a senior level designer who is capable of developing design concepts and collaborating with the design and production team to guide the implementation of design from concept to completion. Successful candidates will be skilled at quickly developing concept sketches and ideas, with experience in working collaboratively with the design and production team to convert concepts into completed schematic designs; and ultimately guide the design process through construction documents. Candidate must have the ability to maintain an attention to design detail within each component of the built environment, and must have a seasoned understanding of constructability. The ideal candidate would be capable of working collaboratively with the design and production team from project inception through construction documents.

This position is responsible for leading a team through conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and delivery of construction documents on large scale ($10.0 - $100.0 million) educational and municipal projects.

Demonstrated skill set:

Project Architect / Junior Architect

Located 15 miles west of Boston, our team members enjoy the relaxed environment and reduced costs associated with working outside of the City.

This position is responsible for schematic design, design development, and delivery of construction documents and renderings for educational and municipal projects.

Demonstrated skill set:
- Develop design concepts and ideas
- Expert AutoCAD
- Technical drafting and detailing
- 3D modeling applications a plus
- Hand Drawing
- Communication and coordination with team members and consultants

Experience Level:
- Degree in Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of relevant office experience

Candidates should have a degree in architecture or architecture related applications with minimum of 5 years of relevant project experience. Candidates should also have experience with the design process from schematic design through contract documents, and have excellent organizational, verbal, and communication skills.

Successful candidates will likely have LEED AP and architectural licensure underway or completed.

Candidates must be able to work closely with team members and consultants, develop conceptual design ideas, conduct site surveys, prepare design development and construction document packages, coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors and perform construction phase services. Experience with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination a plus.

Architectural Draftsman / Designer

Our firm has a reputation as a leader in New England, having completed over $500 million in projects over the past five years. Located 15 miles west of Boston, our team members enjoy the relaxed environment and reduced costs associated with working outside of the City.

This position includes production and design responsibilities for all project phases including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and delivery of construction documents for educational and municipal projects.

Demonstrated skill set:
- Expert AutoCAD
- Technical drafting and detailing
- Production of Construction Documents
- Hand Drawing
- Communication and coordination with team members and consultants

Experience Level:
- Associate Degree or accredited Architectural or Interior Design Degree
- Minimum 2 years of relevant drawing and production experience

Candidates should have an associate degree or accredited architectural or inetrior design degree and 2+ years of relevant project experience in the designated practice areas. Candidate should also have experience with the design process from schematic design through contract documents, along with excellent organizational, verbal, and communication skills.

Successful candidates will likely have LEED AP status underway.
