As part of Ai3’s construction education program, team members recently enjoyed a “double feature” tour of both the Martin Middle School construction site in East Providence, RI and the Central Falls High School construction site in Central Falls, RI.
With the construction about 60% complete on both projects, the team was able to witness the shaping of rooms as well as the first applications of casework and finishes. The tours allowed everyone to see plans and elevations come to life! Each space showcases the work and collaboration that occurred during design and construction for each of these unique schools, further emphasizing the impact a new school can have on a community.
The tours provided the team a chance to witness firsthand how a building they designed in the abstract comes to life in the real world. These site visits are not only educational, but inspire team members to keep evolving solutions for the betterment of future projects.
