With six months left until the official December 2026 substantial completion date for the new Whitman Middle School project, Ai3 team members recently visited the job site and got a thorough glimpse into the construction progress. With exterior framing complete — and interiors not far behind — application of final finishes has begun. The design team was able to witness the building come to life through its undulating colors and textured facades. The construction team was able to showcase not only finish conditions, but also exposed details highlighting the sequence of construction and installation. Experiencing the space in person prompted many questions and ignited thoughtful discussion amongst the team members, further highlighting the importance of seeing 2D drawings come to life in 3D.
