On March 4, 2026, the BF Norton Elementary School was “topped off” with a celebratory structural beam, marking a major milestone in the construction progress of this exciting project. With the new building located just feet away from the existing elementary school, students gathered outside to witness and cheer on the excitement; you couldn’t help but smile hearing them chanting “BF Norton! BF Norton!” as the beam was hoisted into place atop their new school.
With the steel superstructure complete, spaces such as student dining, double-height media center/STEM space, academic classrooms, and collaboration areas have taken shape! Upcoming construction activities include installation of interior stairs, framing, and getting the building envelope prepared for masonry installation to begin as we move into the Spring. Substantial completion of this 64,460sf elementary school serving 576 students in grades K-5 is anticipated for June 2027.
