Ai3 is excited to announce that the new B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, MA is substantially complete! This successful project was a collaborative effort between Ai3, the City of Fall River, Fall River Public Schools, the MSBA, the OPM (LeftField), and the Construction Manager (Suffolk Construction).
The new 501,330sf historically significant building will soon accommodate 2,570 students in a unique cultural and comprehensive high school environment. The new design includes two towers that house historic artifacts from the original B.M.C. Durfee High School: the bell tower, which integrates the historic Durfee bells, and the observatory tower, which integrates the original 1887 historic Warner & Swasey telescope.
