Today, June 20, 2024, marks 10 years since the new Somerset-Berkley Regional High School in Somerset, MA achieved substantial completion.
The new school, which replaced a 1936 historic school building considered by residents as the most significant piece of architecture in the town, was designed to respect the historic nature of the original architecture. The interior design displays a significantly more high-tech and progressive educational facility that showcases the district’s robust fine arts and performing arts programs. This LEED Silver school, which serves 1,000 pupils in grades 9-12, was the result of a successful collaboration between Ai3, the Somerset-Berkley Regional School District, the MSBA, the OPM (Skanska), and the General Contractor (Agostini/Bacon Construction).
