On August 29, 2025, the Whitman Middle School was “topped off” with a celebratory structural beam, marking a major milestone in the construction progress of this exciting project. With the steel superstructure complete, spaces such as the centralized student commons, oval-shaped open-air courtyard, and academic wings that open towards the lush wetland boundary have taken shape!
Upcoming construction activities include installation of interior stairs, exterior envelope, and getting the building watertight before winter. Substantial completion of this 138,605sf middle school serving 675 students in grades 5-8 is anticipated for December 2026.
